Import Data from iDalko Table Grid

SAGIL Tables and Checklists lets you import tables from iDalko table grid. 

If you have previously created tables using the Table Grid app provided by Exalate, you can effortlessly convert them to STAGIL Tables. The migration tool supports import from both Table Grid Editor and Table Grid Next Generation.

Both tables are configured as custom fields, and our migration tool makes it possible to import the table configuration and data. You have the option to migrate the configuration and the data. 

When you decide to migrate the configuration, STAGIL Table custom fields will be generated, replicating the existing Table Grid fields. This includes the name, context, column types, and column configuration within the STAGIL Table functionality.

If you choose to migrate the data, all values from the Table Grid custom fields will be copied over to the newly created STAGIL Tables custom fields.

The migration process is straightforward. Follow these steps to complete the import:

1. Install both the STAGIL Table app and the Table Grid app on your instance, ensuring that the Table Grid app is enabled.

2. Navigate to Manage apps, select the STAGIL Tables & Checklists app, and choose the Import & Migration tab.

3. Choose the Table Grid app you wish to migrate from and click Import. This will create a corresponding STAGIL table for every Table Grid table.
   ^{Table grids can be migrated multiple times. Whenever the configuration or data is imported, a new STAGIL custom field will be created.}

4. Mark the ‘Copy data’ checkbox to copy grid data into STAGIL Table fields.

 

5. Once the migration is finished, you will be able to immediately view the results in the issue view.

 

Adding a logging package 
To ensure efficient debugging of migration add a logging package. It is required that DEBUG logging enabled while troubleshooting issues in Jira
